Business Development Project 2007-2010 Funded by the Monument Trust

In 2007, we entered a new era of development, with a new Chair of Trustees, a new Director and a Business Plan for development and expansion covering the next three years.

With goals to increase the impact that our awards have on offenders’ lives and to showcase their achievements to a wider audience, we have made great steps in taking the annual exhibition to the Institute of Contemporary Art and by establishing a mentoring project for the most talented award winners (funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation.

A consequence of this impressive expansion was the need to modernise our administrative and financial systems on which the expansion relied.

The Monument Trust is funding us for 3 years to pay for a Business Development Project to create and implement an infrastructure to support the continued expansion of the organisation. The objectives of this project include:

  • Updating financial systems and processes
  • Developing robust procedures to ensure best practice
  • Improve procurement  practice to guarantee value for money
  • Develop and maintain good stakeholder relations
  • Update IT
  • Diversify role to guarantee the sustainability of developments
